A show for anyone who has looked to the future and found it missing. Whether we are facing some overwhelming global crisis, or a more personal disaster, we have to be able to reach into a version of the future where we survive. Apocalyptic fantasies represent our fears in a world where we no longer feel we are in control, but they also give us hope for redemption.
"The Future" explores humanity's response to extreme social, environmental and technological upheaval through the songs of songwriters as diverse as Tom Waits, Leonard Cohen, David Bowie, and Michael Jackson asking the question: "How can we hold on to hope when the world is crumbling around our feet?"
Sometimes confrontational, sometimes hopeful, this darkly quirky show features an eclectic mix of deeply stirring songs that will play in your imagination long after the show has ended.
